Viola conversions are specially adapted violins, whereby the function of the front, between the action of the treble bridge foot and the soundpost is bypassed, reducing production of higher frequency resonances, and giving the lower registers greater sonority, a quality normally impossible with smaller student violas.

Recommended by teachers for players who are moving past beginner stage, Stringers Student viola conversion is set up in our workshop, with a wooden bow, and a lightweight shaped case with rucksack straps.
