Viola conversions are specially adapted violins, whereby the function of the front, between the action of the treble bridge foot and the soundpost is bypassed, reducing production of higher frequency resonances, and giving the lower registers greater sonority, a quality normally impossible with smaller student violas.

Our Standard viola conversion is a budget starter outfit with wooden bow and basic lightweight case, carefully checked and setup in our workshop. Available online or from our Edinburgh shop.

This Standard outfit is not eligible for Stringers part-exchange scheme.
